"Henry Family", Family Frieze

Family Frieze, a form created from the collection of portrait studies brought together in a unified composition. Wall-mountable, the form is presented in the manner of a relief, but somewhat deeper and in real extrusion dimensions. Not 'squashed' as a tradition relief might be. This rendering was resulted in a 600mm x 400mm object.

Primary figures was cast in plaster, reinforced using chopped strand glass fibre, and gypsum painted. The backing was cast in polymer-reinforced concrete, polished in black wax. Threaded inserts were incorporated into the cast form for mounting.
